Choosing a Network Provider |
Your vision care provider can be a key player on your health care team. Regular eye examinations can lead to the early detection of several vision and health-related conditions, including glaucoma, diabetes, cataracts and hypertension. The American Optometric Association recommends eye exams begin as early as 6 months and continue regularly throughout a person’s life.
Using a network vision provider allows you to take advantage of negotiated contract rates with providers, thus lowering your out-of-pocket costs. Your TruAssure vision plan is based on either the Access network or the Select network. Each network is a large national network that includes both independent and retail providers. It’s very important that you know which network your benefit plan utilizes because providers may not be participating under both networks. Please refer to your enrollment materials to determine which network applies to your vision care plan and click one of the options below. I am looking for an Access network provider.
